This photo is from a wonderful hike we took in Acadia National Park along the “Gorge Trail,” following Kebo Brook, which flows north in a valley between Cadillac and Dorr Mountains. It’s a spectacular trail — in an intimate way — with numerous small and beautiful cascades. The reddish granite rocks — Cadillac Mountain Granite — are “warm” (in color, at least!) and beautiful.
The photo was taken with my Canon 5D MII, ISO 100, 24mm, at f/16, with a 13.0 second exposure. Which made the yellow leaves a bit blurry in the gentle breeze. But I like the effect; it reminds me of that beautiful afternoon.
More of my Maine photos are here, and I’ll highlight more of them in forthcoming posts. Enjoy!
