I live a few hours from Shenandoah National Park, Virginia, which I have visited many times over the years. I recently discovered this falls in the park – Rose River Falls – which is now one of my local favorites.
This photo is from late June of this year. I particularly like the stillness of the lush greens and the darkness under the rocks, and their contrast with the white, flowing water.
It’s a beautiful and peaceful place just to sit and enjoy, as well. I have no doubt that I’ll revisit – and re-photograph – the falls many times more.
