Gullfoss is an amazing and huge waterfall in Iceland. This image was taken on a rainy day, so keeping my camera and lens dry was a continual challenge. But I think the falling rain combined with the rising mist added some moody drama to the scene, which I like. No complaints!
This falls is powerfully dynamic. And loud. I think this comes through in the blur, the patterns, and the color of the water about to shoot over the precipice.
Being at Gullfoss with my camera was just one of many Icelandic treats for the senses — and a real pleasure, too.
